EU Food Law
from a practitioner's perspective
I am a lawyer with over 15 years of experience in EU and Polish food law. I help companies safely launch food supplements, functional food and innovative products, combining traditional legal advisory with technology.
Who I Am and What I Do
For over fifteen years I have worked at the intersection of food law, food supplements and business practice. I advise on product launches, regulatory risk analysis, labelling, nutrition and health claims and marketing communications.
My experience spans both the private sector and public administration. I represented Poland in proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the EFTA Court.
Why the Food Industry
For many years I was responsible for the legal affairs of a food supplements brand, working on over 50 new products - from composition and ingredient status, through labelling, to distribution agreements and marketing.
I specialise in categories that are regulatory-complex: food supplements, fortified food, novel food and CBD. My work combines legal analysis with understanding of scientific research and market data.
How I Work with Clients
Practical Approach
- I work on real regulatory risks, not abstract interpretations;
- I combine the perspective of a lawyer, an in-house food company professional and an external adviser;
- I ensure recommendations are understandable to marketing, R&D and management - not just lawyers.
Technology in Practice
In compliance projects I use AI tools for document analysis, compliance monitoring and team training. This has allowed me to reduce document review time by approximately 40% while maintaining a high level of regulatory safety.
